Politics: George Galloway on the Iraqi "Oil for Food" Scandal

British MP George Galloway recently provided this interesting speech to the US Senate, in response to US Senator Norm Coleman's (R-Min.) accusations that Galloway profited from the Iraqi Oil for Food program.

I told the world that Iraq, contrary to your claims did not have weapons of mass destruction. I told the world, contrary to your claims, that Iraq had no connection to al-Qaeda. I told the world, contrary to your claims, that Iraq had no connection to the atrocity on 9/11 2001. I told the world, contrary to your claims, that the Iraqi people would resist a British and American invasion of their country and that the fall of Baghdad would not be the beginning of the end, but merely the end of the beginning.

I'd like to include the whole transcript of Mr. Galloway's speech here, but it's just too long. I highly recommend the Common Dreams full transcript. Its a very interesting read.

Guess I'll stop with the politics now. I'm already too angry for the day.
