Those Jerks!

So the oil companies have made a record profit. In wake of the devastation of Hurricanes, after which they whined, bitched, and moaned that they were going to lose tons of money due to the damage, etc. So why do they make record profits? Could it be the astronomical cost of gas in order to "help" the oil companies keep from going bankrupt? Sure. I think we should sue them for a percentage of their profits, give the money to the Red Cross- who has had to borrow money (100's of thousands) to run their programs. It isn't just driving that cost a lot of money, people who will be heating with oil or gas this winter are screwed big time! Food costs have gone up, transportation costs, seems like every industry has "reacted" to the panic of an impending oil shortage. Aargh. Maybe the oil companies will crumble under pressure, if we all bombared them with criticism about their business practices. And maybe pigs will begin to fly too. Guess I am to cynical to think that the 'humans" running the oil companies really care about humanity. Would be nice to be proven wrong though.
